후보분할, 후보문 또는 후보분할레벨은 원핵생물의 계통으로 최근까지 배양된 대표자가 발견되지 않았지만 16S rRNA와 환경샘플의 [1]메타게노믹 분석에 의해 그 존재의 증거를 얻었다.칸디다투스란 국제세균명칭법에[2] 따라 새로운 종이라고 부르기에 충분한 정보가 없는 종을 말한다.
