할랄[1] 전투는 에리트레아 독립전쟁의 전투였으며, 1962년 7월 18일에 일어났다.이 전투에서 에리트레아 해방전선은 할랄에 있는 지방경찰청을 오버런하여 하루 종일 통제할 수 있었다.[2]에리트레아 경찰 특공대였던 수비대원들은 이스라엘군에 의해 훈련을 받았었다.[1]

Among many smaller military operations of 1962 included: overrunning and controlling for a full day the Halhal police post on 1968; the setting on fire of Gogne police post on 10 October 1962: overnight simultaneous attacks on police posts of Garsat, Galuj and Barentu on 15 November 1962. The attack at the Sala enemy camp left 6 soldiers killed.
