존슨은 2012년 12월 18일 프롤룬다 HC에서 열린 AIK IF와의 홈경기에서 엘리세리엔 데뷔전을 치렀다.[2]12월 26일 뢰글 BK에서 열린 두 번째 경기에서 존슨은 승부차기에서 승리한 골인 생애 첫 엘리테리앙 골을 넣었다.[3]

2014년 4월 21일, 존슨은 프롤룬다 팀 동료 알렉산더 빈버그와 메이플 리프스의 유망주 톰 닐슨과 HV71의 케빈 피알라를 제치고 SHL 올해의 신인상에 선정되었다.[4]
