Andi (Andrei[1]) Gutmans는 프로그래머 겸 기업가로서 스위스에서 태어나 현재 미국에 거주하고 있다. 그는 PHP 공동창조를 도왔고 Zend Technologies를[2] 공동 설립했으며 구글에서 엔지니어링, 데이터베이스 부사장을 맡고 있다. 테크니온을 졸업한 구트만, 하이파에 있는 이스라엘 공과대학교와 동료 학생인 지에프 수라스키는 1997년에 PHP 3을 만들었다. 1999년에 그들은 PHP 4의 핵심인 Zend Engine을 쓰고 Zend Technologies를 설립했는데, Zend Technologies는 PHP 5와 가장 최근의 PHP 7 릴리즈를 포함한 PHP 발전을 감독해왔다. 2020년 5월, Gutmans는 구글에 VP 엔지니어링, 데이터베이스로 합류했다.[18]
