고대 메커니즘은 LV의 4집 앨범으로, 티그란 하마시안과 협업해 만들어 2015년 10월 9일 발매되었다.[5][2][1][3]LV는 시 윌리엄스와 윌 호록스의 듀오로, 둘 다 유니버시티 칼리지 런던에 있을 때 만났다.[5][4][7][6]비평가들은 티그란과 LV가 서로 잘 맞지 않아 음악 소리가 끊겼다고 말했다.[5]LV와 티그란은 2012년 길레스 피터슨의 마지막 BBC 라디오 1 쇼에서 Maida Vale 세션에서 공연할 때 처음 만났다.[8][4][2][6]
