암만버스급행철도(Amman Bus Rapid Transit)는 요르단 암만에 있는 1억 6천만 달러의 건설중인 버스급행운송시스템이다.[1] 대암만시(GAM)가 관리하는 BRT 사업은 2009년 발표돼 2010년부터 시작됐다. 2011년 9월 마루프 알 바키트 총리 정부가 요르단[3] 내각의 조사와 재정 능력 문제 등에서 부패 의혹이 제기되자 이전 정부로부터 사업을 물려받은 뒤 사업을 중단한 바 있다.[2][4] 2015년 요르단 의회 하원 위원회는 부패 혐의를 벗은 뒤 사업 재개를 승인했다.[5] 요르단 뉴스의 애런 와인트라우브(Aaron Weintraub)는 암만 BRT 프로젝트가 "건설 지연, 부패 고발, 리더십의 책임성 결여"와 동음이의어가 되었다고 언급하면서 이 프로젝트는 요르단 대중들 사이에서 논란이 되었다.[6][7]

BRT 시스템은 웨스트암만의 스위일레에서 라스알아인의 요르단 박물관까지 3개 노선으로 운행되며, 이 노선이 이스트암만의 알마하타까지 이어지는 스포츠시티 교차로 통과한다.[8] 암만 BRT는 운행이 완료되면 하루 약 20만 명의 승객이 이용할 것으로 예상된다.;[9]

자금조달

BRT 사업은 원래 아겐스 프랑세즈 드 데벨로프가 대 암만 시군에 직접 1억6600만 달러에 제공한 연성대출을 통해 자금 지원을 받았으며, 1억2700만 달러는 인프라 변경, 700만 달러는 전자 운영체제, 약 1400만 달러의 행정 비용이 배정되었다. 이번 대출은 상한선 6.5%로 이뤄졌으며 별도 입찰 절차를 거쳐 버스 운영사가 조달하기로 한 버스 예상 비용(4,000만달러)은 포함하지 않았다.[10]
