야하야 벨로는 3091표를 얻어 109표를 얻은 바바툰데 이루케라를 누르고 APC 주지사 후보로 부상했다.그는 러닝메이트로 에드워드 데이비드 오노자를 꼽았다.무사 와다는 사무엘 아로를 러닝메이트로 한 PDP 후보였다.23명의 후보자들이 선거에서 [7][8][9][10][11][12][13]경쟁했다.
