2024년 하계 올림픽(프랑스어:Jeux ollympiques d'été de 2024), 공식적으로는 XXX 올림픽III 올림피아드 (프랑스어: Jeux de la XXX)파리e 2024(Paris 2024)는 2024년 7월 26일부터 8월 11일까지 프랑스에서 개최될 예정인 국제 종합 스포츠 대회입니다. 프랑스령 폴리네시아해외 집합체이자 프랑스 해외 국가 내의 섬인 타히티의 하위 사이트 1곳.[5]

파리는 2017년 9월 13일 페루 리마에서 열린 제131차 IOC 총회에서 올림픽 개최권을 획득했습니다. 국제올림픽위원회(IOC)는 파리로스앤젤레스만 여러 차례 탈퇴하면서 2024년과 2028년 하계 올림픽을 두 도시에 동시에 부여하는 절차를 승인했습니다. 이전에 1900년과 1924년에 개최된 파리는 런던(1908년, 1948년, 2012년 개최)에 이어 두 번째로 하계 올림픽을 세 번 개최한 도시가 될 것입니다. 파리 2024는 파리 1924100주년이 될 것이고, 이번 올림픽은 프랑스가 주최하는 여섯 번째 올림픽(여름 3회, 겨울 3회)이며, 1992년 알베르빌 동계 올림픽 이후 첫 프랑스 올림픽입니다. 2020년 도쿄 하계올림픽코로나19 대유행으로 1년 연기되면서 2024년 파리에 이어 하계올림픽이 전통적인 4년의 올림피아드 사이클로 돌아옵니다.

2024년 파리는 올림픽 종목으로 브레이크댄스([6]일명 브레이크댄스)의 첫 선을 보일 예정이며, 토마스 바흐 IOC 위원장의 임기 중에 열리는 마지막 올림픽이 될 것입니다.[7] 이번 대회는 남성과 여성 사이에 동일한 수의 선수들이 참가하는 최초의 대회가 될 것입니다. 올림픽 비용은 83억 유로가 들 것으로 예상됩니다.[8]

입찰절차

다섯 개의 후보 도시는 파리, 함부르크, 부다페스트, 로마, 그리고 로스앤젤레스였습니다. 입찰 과정은 철회, 정치적 불확실성, 비용 억제로 인해 느려졌습니다.[9] 함부르크는 2015년 11월 29일 국민투표를 실시한 후 유치를 철회했습니다.[10] 로마는 2016년 9월 21일 재정난을 이유로 탈퇴했습니다.[11] 2017년 2월 22일, 부다페스트는 국민 투표에 필요한 것보다 더 많은 서명을 받은 후 탈퇴했습니다.[12][13][14]

이러한 철회에 따라 IOC 집행위원회는 2017년 6월 9일 스위스 로잔에서 2024년과 2028년 입찰 과정을 논의하기 위해 회의를 열었습니다.[15][16] 국제 올림픽 위원회는 2017년에 2024년과 2028년 올림픽 개최 도시를 동시에 선출할 것을 공식적으로 제안했으며, 이 제안은 2017년 7월 11일 로잔에서 임시 IOC 총회에서 승인되었습니다.[16] IOC는 LA 2024와 파리 2024 유치위원회가 IOC와 만나 2024년과 2028년 어느 도시가 올림픽을 동시에 개최할지, 두 도시를 동시에 선정할 수 있는지 등을 논의하는 절차를 마련했습니다.[17]

두 대회를 동시에 개최하기로 한 파리는 2024년 개최지로 선정되었습니다. 2017년 7월 31일 IOC는 로스앤젤레스를 2028년 단독 후보로 발표하여 [18][19]파리를 2024년 개최지로 확정할 수 있게 했습니다. 두 결정 모두 2017년 9월 13일 제131차 IOC 총회에서 비준되었습니다.[20]

개최 도시 선거

2017년 9월 13일 페루 리마에서 열린 제131차 IOC 총회에서 파리가 개최 도시로 선출되었습니다. 두 명의 프랑스 IOC 위원인 Guy DrutTony Estanguet올림픽 헌장의 규정에 따라 투표할 자격이 없었습니다.

개발 및 준비

장소

대부분의 올림픽 경기는 파리와 인근 도시인 생드니, 르 부르제, 난테레, 베르사유, 바이어스쉬르마른에서 열릴 예정입니다.[21][22]

핸드볼 경기는 개최 도시에서 225km(140m) 떨어진 에서 열리며 요트 경기와 축구 경기는 개최 도시에서 777km(483m) 떨어진 지중해 도시 마르세유에서 열릴 예정입니다. 한편 서핑 경기는 프랑스령 폴리네시아티후포 마을에서 열릴 예정입니다. 개최 도시에서 15,716 km (9,765 mi) 떨어져 있습니다. 축구는 또한 보르도, 데치네스-샤르피우(라이온), 낭트, 니스, 생테티엔 등 5개 도시에서 열리며, 이들 중 일부는 리그 1 클럽의 본거지입니다.

메달

2024년 파리의 토니 에스탕게 회장은 2024년 2월에 올림픽과 패럴림픽 메달을 공개했는데, 이 메달의 뒷면에는 에펠탑의 원래 건축물에서 가져온 육각형 모양의 고철 토큰이 새겨져 있으며, 올림픽 로고가 새겨져 있습니다.[26] 약 5,084개의 메달이 프랑스의 조폐국인 몽네 파리에서 생산될 것이며, 파리에 기반을 둔 고급 보석 회사인 Chaumet에서 디자인했습니다.[27] 메달의 뒷면에는 1896년 최초의 근대 올림픽을 개최한 파나테니안 경기장 안에 그리스 승리의 여신인 나이키가 있습니다. 파르테논 신전과 에펠탑은 메달 양쪽의 배경에서도 볼 수 있습니다.[28] 각 메달의 무게는 455~529g(16~19온스), 지름은 85mm(3.3인치), 두께는 9.2mm(0.36인치)입니다.[29] 금메달은 98.8 퍼센트의 은과 1.13 퍼센트의 금으로 만들어진 반면, 동메달은 구리, 아연, 주석으로 이루어져 있습니다.[30]

보안.

프랑스는 유로폴, 영국 내무부와 함께 올림픽 기간 동안 보안 강화와 "운영 정보 교류 촉진" 및 "국제법 집행 협력"을 지원하기로 합의했습니다.[31] 협약 내에서 소형 보트가 불법적으로 해협을 통과하는 것을 막기 위해 더 많은 드론과 해상 방벽을 배치할 계획이었습니다.[32] 파리의 경찰은 2023년 프랑스 스타드 프랑스 럭비 월드컵을 준비하는 것과 유사하게 대회 전에 폭탄 처리 부대 내에서 검사와 리허설을 진행했습니다.[33] 에마뉘엘 마크롱 프랑스 대통령은 프랑스는 안보 상황에 따라 개막식 장소를 바꿀 준비가 돼 있다고 말했습니다.[34] 카타르 에미르 셰이크 타밈 하마드 알사니의 프랑스 방문의 일환으로, 2024년 파리 하계 올림픽을 위한 보안을 강화하기 위한 여러 협정이 양국 간에 체결되었습니다.[35]

2023년 3월 올림픽 및 패럴림픽을 위한 파리 2024 자원봉사 플랫폼이 대중에게 공개되었습니다. 올림픽을 위해 전 세계적으로 45,000명의 자원봉사자가 모집될 것으로 예상됩니다.[36] 2023년 5월 3일 등록이 종료된 후 파리 조직위원회에 30만 명이 넘는 신청자가 제출되어 이전 두 번의 올림픽 신청자 수를 넘어섰습니다.[37] 지원자들은 2023년 9월부터 12월 사이에 지원 결과를 통보받았습니다.[38]

2021년 7월, 파리 2024의 토니 에스탕게 회장은 COJOP2024가 전통적인 경기장 환경 밖에서 개막식과 폐막식을 개최하는 것에 대한 타당성 조사를 실시하고 있으며, 이는 그들이 " 수십만 명의 사람들과 결혼할 수 있는, 상징적인 장소"가 될 수 있도록 하기 위한 것이라고 말했습니다.[39] 이러한 "오픈 게임"의 개념은 도쿄 2020 폐막식에서 파리 2024 인계 프레젠테이션에서 예시되었으며,[39] 이 프레젠테이션에서는 Place du Trocadéro에서 열린 시청 파티의 라이브 세그먼트가 등장했습니다.[40] Estanguet는 연말까지 기념식 장소가 발표될 것으로 예상했습니다.[39]

2021년 12월 13일 개막식에는 선수들이 보트Pont d'Austerlitz에서 Pontd'수송된다고 발표했습니다. 강을 따라 Iéna. 6킬로미터(3.7마일) 길이의 이 노선은 루브르 박물관, 노트르담파리, 콩코드 광장 등의 랜드마크를 지나며, 문화 발표를 선보일 예정입니다. 공식 의전은 트로카데로에 있는 30,000석 규모의 "미니 스타디움"에서 진행될 예정입니다. 주최 측은 이번 개막식이 올림픽 역사상 가장 화려하고 접근하기 쉬운 개막식이 될 것이라고 밝혔으며, 에스탕게트는 무료로 참석할 수 있을 것이라고 밝혔으며, 60만 명에 달하는 관중을 끌어들일 수 있을 것으로 추산했습니다. 따라서 2020년 도쿄 대회는 코로나19 대유행에 대한 예방책으로 대부분 비공개로 개최된 후에 완전한 관중 수용 능력으로 돌아갈 것입니다.[41][42][43][44] 2024년 1월 주최 측은 보안 문제로 인해 22만 장의 무료 티켓이 배포되면서 참석자 수가 30만 명에 육박할 것이라고 발표했습니다.

2022년 9월 23일 폐막식은 프랑스 스타드 프랑스에서 개최될 예정이므로 전통적인 방식으로 진행될 것이라고 발표되었습니다.[46]

2024년 3월 8일, 조직위원회는 개막식을 강화하기 위해 오후 7시 30분(CEST, GMT+2)에 개막식을 시작할 것이라고 발표했으며, 토니 에스탄게 파리 2024 회장은 "스포츠와 도시의 교차점을 아름답게 보여주는 개막식을 시작하게 되어 기쁩니다. 지는 태양의 자연광은 이 행사에 진정한 시적인 차원을 더할 것이며, 선수들과 대중 모두가 빛의 도시의 자연미를 감상할 수 있도록 초대할 것입니다."[47] 2024년 3월 19일, IOC는 러시아와 벨라루스 선수들이 개막식에 참가하지 않을 것이라고 발표했습니다.[48][49]

스포츠

2017년부터 시행되고 있는 국제올림픽위원회(IOC)의 현행 규칙에 따라 하계올림픽 프로그램은 대회 사이에 지속되는 28개의 필수 '핵심' 종목과 각 대회마다 추가할 수 있는 최대 6개의 선택 종목으로 구성됩니다.

선택 종목은 관련 조직위원회가 선정하며, 총 참가 선수 수가 10,500명을 넘지 않는 한,[50][51] 지역의 관심을 높이기 위해 매회 5년 전까지 국제올림픽위원회에 보내야 하는 명단에 포함됩니다.[3]

2017년 9월 제131차 IOC 총회에서 IOC는 파리 2024를 위해 2016년 프로그램의 28개 종목을 승인하는 동시에 파리 조직위원회에 최대 5개 종목을 추가로 제출하도록 요청했습니다.[52][53]

2017년 8월 파리가 올림픽을 유치할 때, 파리 조직위원회는 IOC 및 전문 e스포츠 단체들과 2024년 대회 도입 가능성에 대해 논의할 것이라고 발표했습니다.[54][55] 2018년 7월, IOC는 2024년 올림픽을 위해 e스포츠를 고려하지 않을 것이라고 확인했습니다.[56] 2019년 2월 21일, 파리 조직위원회는 스케이트보드, 스포츠 클라이밍, 서핑과 함께 브레이크댄스(브레이크댄스)를 선택 종목으로 포함할 것을 제안했습니다.[57][58][56]

2019년 6월 24일 스위스 로잔에서 열린 134차 IOC 총회에서 4개 종목이 추가로 승인되었습니다.[58][56][59]

329개 종목 32개 종목이 참가할 예정인 파리 2024는 1960년 이후 처음으로 이전 대회보다 경기 수가 적은 하계 올림픽이 됩니다. 아래 표에서 각 분야의 이벤트 수는 괄호 안에 기록되어 있습니다.

가라테와 야구/소프트볼 종목은 모두 2020년부터 프로그램에서 제외되어 총 10개 종목이 탈락했고, 역도 종목은 4개 종목이 탈락했습니다.

카누에서는 스프린트 종목 2개가 회전 종목 2개로 대체되어 전체 합계가 16개로 유지되고 있습니다. 새로운 종목으로 도입된 브레이킹은 프로그램에 두 가지 종목을 추가했으며, 스포츠 클라이밍에서는 이전의 '복합' 종목을 세분화하여 성별에 따라 '스피드 클라이밍'과 '볼더 앤 리드' 종목을 별도로 만들었습니다.[60]

2023년 2월, USA 복싱은 러시아와 벨라루스 선수들이 제한 없이 경쟁하는 2023년 세계 선수권 대회(국제복싱협회 주관) 불참 결정을 발표하면서 IBA가 IOC가 승인한 2024년 하계 올림픽 출전권 경로를 방해하려 한다고 비난했습니다: 폴란드, 스위스, 네덜란드, 영국, 아일랜드, 체코, 스웨덴, 캐나다가 나중에 미국에 가입했습니다.[61]

엠블럼

2024년 하계 올림픽과 패럴림픽의 엠블럼은 2019년 10월 21일 그랜드 렉스에서 공개되었습니다. 아르데코에서 영감을 받아,[63][64] 그녀의 머리카락에 의해 부정적인 공간에 불꽃이 형성되어 프랑스의 국민적 의인화된 마리안느를 표현했습니다. 엠블럼도 금메달을 닮았습니다. 토니 에스탕게는 엠블럼이 "게임의 힘과 마법"을 상징했고, 게임은 "사람들을 위한 것"이라고 설명했습니다. 여성 인물의 사용은 또한 1900년 파리 하계 올림픽에 대한 오마주 역할을 하는데, 이 올림픽은 최초로 여성의 참가를 허용했습니다.[65] 이 엠블럼은 프랑스 디자이너 실뱅 보이어(Sylvain Boyer[66])가 프랑스 디자인 에이전시 에코브랜딩 앤 로열티(Ecobranding & Royalty)와 함께 디자인했습니다.[67][68][66]

2022년 11월 14일, 프리지는 2024년 하계 올림픽과 패럴림픽의 마스코트로 공개되었습니다. 프리지는 자유와 자유의 역사적인 프랑스 상징인 의인 프리지아 모자 한 쌍입니다.[73][74] 마리안느는 흔히 사람들이끄는 자유의 여신 외젠 들라크루아 그림을 포함하여 프리기아 모자를 쓴 모습으로 묘사됩니다.[75][76] 두 마스코트는 "혼자는 더 빨리 가지만 함께 더 멀리 간다"는 모토를 공유합니다.[77]
