더 몽키 케이지(The Monkey Cage)는 워싱턴포스트가 2013년부터 발간한 블로그다.[1][2][3]이 블로그는 2007년에 만들어졌다.[4]이 블로그는 부분적으로 정치 매체 보도와 정치 과학 연구를 무시한 정책 담론을 추진하기 위해 만들어졌다.[5][6]블로그의 내용은 주로 그들의 정치학 연구를 요약하거나 시사회에 정치학을 적용하는 학문적 정치학자들의 짧은 사설을 게재하는 [6]등 해설자-저널리즘의 한 형태로 묘사되어 왔다.이 블로그는 관련 학문 분야의 학자들이 만든 작품도 가끔 게재한다.[7][8]

2011년, 이 블로그는 The Week 잡지의 "Blog of the Year"를 수상했다.[9]그 블로그의 내용은 수많은 신문에 인용되었다.[10]존 사이드에 따르면 이 블로그는 71만9000명이 방문했으며 2007년 11월부터 2010년 12월까지 200만 회 이상 관람했다.[10]
