시린트 운하
Sirhind Canal시린드 운하는 인도 펀자브 주에 있는 수틀레즈 강에서 물을 운반하는 큰 관개 운하다. 인더스 강 계통에서 가장 오래되고 가장 큰 관개공사 중 하나이며, 1882년 CE에 취임하였다.[1] 이 운하는 펀자브 루프가르 지구의 로파르 시 근처의 로파 헤드워크에서 시작된다.[1]
운하의 지리
시린드 운하는 로파르에서 시작하여 루디아나 구역의 도라하로 남서쪽으로 향한다. 도라하에서는 운하가 아보하르 분기점, 바스린다 분기점, 파티알라 분점 등 세 가지로 갈라진다. 이들 각각은 펀자브의 말와 지역에 대규모의 물을 공급하기 위해 광범위하게 더 세분된다. 한때 부분적으로 건조했던 이 지역은 현재 운하망에 의해 분배된 물 때문에 극도로 비옥한 상태다.[2]
