Robotaxi

자율주행 택시운전자 없는 택시로도 알려진 '로보택시'(또는 '로보택시')는 승차공유 업체에서 운영하는 자율주행차(SAE 자동화 4, 5급)이다.

그러한 유형의 서비스 운영 비용의 상당 부분을 차지하는 인적 운전자나 운전기사의 필요성을 없앤다는 사실은 고객들에게 매우 저렴한 솔루션이 될 수 있고 개별적인 자동차 소유와는 반대로 TaaS(Transportation-as-a-Service) 솔루션의 확산을 가속화할 수 있다.[1][2][3][4] 그러나 일자리 파괴 문제를 제기한다.[5][6]

로보탁시

몇몇 연구에서는 주문형 자율이동성(AMOD) 서비스에서 운용되는 로봇축이 규모에 따라 가장 빠르게 채택되는 자율주행차 애플리케이션 중 하나일 수 있으며, 특히 도시 지역에서 가까운 장래에 주요 이동성 솔루션이 될 수 있으며, 그 결과 10년 이내에 미국에서 대다수의 차량 마일리지를 제공할 수 있다는 점을 강조했다.제1차 [7]소개 게다가, 그들은 도로 안전, 교통 혼잡주차에 매우 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다.[8][9][10][11][12] 에너지 및 기타 자원의 오염과 소비와 관련하여, 로봇축은 전기자동차[13] 가장 많이 사용할 것이며, 대부분의 놀이기구의 경우 개인 소유의 일반 차량에 비해 차량 크기와 범위가 적기 때문에 상당한 개선을 가져올 수 있다.[14] 차량[15] 수의 예상 가능한 감소는 구현된 에너지가 덜 함축된 것을 의미하지만 빈 차량의 재분배를 위한 에너지 소비량을 고려해야 한다.[16]

현재 상태

차량원가

지금까지 모든 시험에는 칸막이 뒤 뒷좌석에 앉아 있는 2~4명의 승객을 위한 공간이 있는 특수 개조된 승용차들이 포함되었다. 모든 차량에는 LIDAR, 카메라 및 기타 센서가 사용되어 왔다. 초기 차량 가격은 맞춤 제작과 센서 전문화로 최대 30만 달러로 추산됐다. 하지만 라이다 등 일부 부품 가격은 최고 90%까지 떨어졌다. 대량 생산은 비용이 더 떨어질 수 있으며 바이두는 2021년 6월에 각각 50만 위안(7만7,665달러)에 로보탁시 생산을 시작할 것이라고 발표했다.[19] 웨이모는 그동안 하드웨어 비용을 마일당 0.30달러(km당 0.19달러)로 추정했지만, 여기에는 비행대 기술자와 고객 지원 비용은 포함되지 않았다.[20]

승객 시험

몇몇 회사가 특히 미국과 중국에서 로보택시 서비스를 테스트하고 있다. 지금까지의 모든 테스트는 지오펜스 지역에서만 작동한다. 초기 시험에서는 유사시 통제권을 되찾는 '안전운전사'나 '안전기술사'가 한두 명 있었다. 초기 시험에서는 무임승차를 제공하고 회사 직원이나 사전승인을 받은 승객으로 제한되었다. 비와 같은 궂은 날씨에서 운전자의 사용을 재개하는 실험도 있지만, 추가적인 개발로 인해 차량에 안전 운전자를 두지 않고 테스트를 하는 것으로 이어졌다. 차량이 자동으로 기동할 수 없는 상황에 의해 "병렬"되는 경우에도 차량을 수동으로 주행할 수 있다. 이 경우 지원 운전자를 차량에 태우거나 원격으로 차량을 운행한다. 일반 대중을 위한 수익 서비스는 여러 번의 시험에서 도입되었다.[citation needed]

이러한 노력과는 별개로, 6명에서 10명 사이의 승객을 태울 수 있는 지정된 정류장이 있는 고정된 노선에서 대형 차량을 가진 공유 자율주행차 시험도 있었다. 이 셔틀버스는 대부분 저속운행을 하고 있지만 최근에는 저속운행을 할 수 있는 차량이 다수 공개되고 있는데, 여기에는 주엑스크루즈 오리진 등이 포함된다.

첫 재판

2016년 8월 MIT 스핀오프 누토노미싱가포르의 한정된 지역에서 6대의 개량형 르노 조즈와 미쓰비시 i-MiEVs로 놀이기구를 제공하기 시작하면서 처음으로 로봇축을 대중에게 공개하였다.[21] 뉴토노미는 이후 우버의 동남아 경쟁사인 그랩푸조 3008 SUV를, 마지막으로 보스턴에서 로보택시 서비스를 개시할 리프트를 제공하는 그루프 PSA와 로보택시 서비스를 개발하기 위한 세 가지 중요한 파트너십을 체결했다.[22][23][24][25]

제너럴모터스(GM)가 2016년 인수한 자율주행 스타트업 크루즈 오토메이션은 2017년 8월 미국 샌프란시스코에서 46대의 시보레 볼트 EV를 탑재한 로보탁시(Robotaxi) 서비스 베타 버전을 출시했다.[26][27]

테스트 및 수익 서비스 타임라인

달리 명시되지 않은 한 안전운전자가 목록에 있는 시험이다. 재판이 시작된다고 해서 아직 활동 중인 것은 아니다.

  • 2016년 8월 - NuTonomy싱가포르에서 6대의 개조된 르노 조즈 및 미쓰비시 i-MiEVs 비행대를 이용한 자율 택시 서비스를 시작했다.
  • 2016년 9월 - Uber피츠버그에서 선택된 사용자 그룹이 14대의 차량으로 구성된 비행대에서 로봇 축을 주문할 수 있도록 허용하기 시작했다. 각 차량의 앞좌석에는 항상 우버 엔지니어 두 명이 타고 있었다.
  • 2017년 3월 - 우버 자율주행차가 양보하지 않은 다른 차량에 치여 옆으로 뒤집혔다. 우버는 2017년 10월 시험운전자 1명만 사용하기 시작했다.
  • 2017년 4월 - 웨이모는 애리조나주 피닉스의 지오펜스 교외에서 각 차량을 모니터링하는 운전자와 함께 대규모 로보탁시 테스트를 시작했다. 서비스 구역은 약 100평방미(260km2)[28]로 2017년 11월 운전자 없는 일부 테스트가 시작됐다. 상업운전은 2019년 11월부터 시작됐다.
  • 2017년 8월 - 크루즈 오토메이션은 46대의 차량을 이용하여 샌프란시스코에서 직원 250명(직원의 10%)을 대상으로 베타 버전 로보택시 서비스를 시작했다.
  • 2018년 3월 - 애리조나주 템페에서 밤거리를 건너려던 여성이 탑승한 엔지니어가 동영상을 보던 중 우버 차량에 치여 숨졌다. Uber는 나중에 테스트를 다시 시작했지만, 낮 시간과 느린 속도에서만 테스트를 다시 시작했다.
  • 2018년 8월 - 얀덱스러시아[29][30] 이노폴리스에서 차량 2대와 함께 재판을 시작했다.

  • 2019년 11월 - WeRide RoboTaxi는 144.65km2(55.85sq mi)[32][33] 면적에 걸쳐 광저우황푸에서 20대의 차량을 대상으로 시범 서비스를 시작했다.
  • 2019년 11월 - 아마존닷컴은 캘리포니아 어바인에서 차량 10대와 정류장 등을 동원해 3개월간의 시험운행을 시작했다.[34]

  • 2020년 6월 - 상하이에서 DiDi 로보택시 서비스가 상하이 자동차 전시센터, 지역 상권, 지하철역, 시내 호텔 등을 망라한 지역에서 운영되기 시작한다.[36]
  • 2020년 8월. 바이두는 사전 정의된 경로에 55개의 지정된 장소를 서비스하는 칸저우에서 무료 여행을 앱 예약과 함께 제공하기 시작했다.[37]
  • 2020년 12월. 오토엑스(알리바바그룹 지원)가 25대의 차량을 동원해 심천에서 운전자 없는 로봇축에 대한 비공개 재판을 시작했다.[38] 이어 2021년 1월 일반에 서비스를 개방했다.[39][40]
  • 2021년 2월 - Waymo One샌프란시스코의 여러 교외에서 자체 직원 선발을 위해 제한된 로보탁시 서비스를 시작했다. 2021년 8월, 이용 서비스를 신청하기 위해 일반인을 초대하였으며, 장소가 제한되었다. 각 차량에는 안전운전자가 있다. 관련 차량 수는 공개되지 않았다.[41]
  • 2021년 5월 - 바이두는 베이징 서부[42] 쇼강 공원에서 8개의 픽업 및 하차 정류장이 있는 3km2(1.2 sq mi) 구역에서 10대의 아폴로 고(Apolo Go) 차량과 함께 상업용 로보 택시 서비스를 시작한다.
  • 2021년 7월 - Baidu는 황푸 지구에서 60 sq mi(160 km2)를 서비스하는 30대의 세단 비행대와 함께 광저우에서 대중에게 시범 프로그램을 개시했다.[43] 매일 오전 9시 30분부터 오후 11시까지 지정장소 200개가 제공된다.[44]
  • 2021년 7월 - DeepRoute.ai은 선전 시내에서 20대의 차량을 대상으로 100개의 픽업 및 하차 장소를 서비스하는 무료 평가판을 시작했다.[45]
  • 2022년 2월 - 크루즈 오토메이션은 샌프란시스코에 무운전자 자동차를 일반에 공개했다.[46]

주목할 만한 상업적 벤처기업

우버 ATG

우버는 2015년 초 자율주행차 개발에 착수했다. 2016년 9월 이 회사는 피츠버그에서 자사의 라이드헤일링 서비스 사용자 그룹에게 14대의 개조된 포드 퓨링스 기단에 로봇 축을 주문할 수 있는 실험을 시작했다.[47] 테스트는 볼보 XC90s를 개조해 샌프란시스코까지 확대됐다가 2017년 2월 애리조나주 템페로 이전했다.[48][49]

2017년 3월 미국 애리조나주에서 우버의 로봇축 중 하나가 자율주행 모드로 추락해 며칠 뒤 테스트를 재개하기 전 테스트를 중단하는 사태가 발생했다.[50][51] 우버는 2018년 3월 애리조나주 템페에서 일레인 헤르츠버그가 사망하자 선상 엔지니어가 영상을 보던 중 우버 차량에 부딪힌 보행자로부터 자율주행차 시험을 중단했다.[52] 우버는 피해자 가족과 함께 정착했다.[53][52]

우버는 2021년 1월 자체 운전부문인 우버 ATG를 오로라 이노베이션에 40억달러에 매각하는 한편 4억달러를 오로라에 투자해 지분 26%를 확보했다.[54][55]

웨이모

2016년 독립된 구글 자율주행차 프로젝트인 웨이모는 2017년 초 피아트 크라이슬러자동차에서 제공하는 크라이슬러퍼시픽아 하이브리드 미니밴 100대, 500대를 더 활용해 피닉스에서 대규모 공공 로보텍시 테스트를 시작했다.[56][57][58] 웨이모는 리프트와 2017년 5월 자율주행차 협업 계약을 체결하기도 했다.[59] 웨이모는 2017년 11월 애리조나에서 안전운전사 없이 일부 자동화차량을 운행하기 시작했다고 밝혔다.[60] 이 서비스는 2019년 11월까지 안전백업운전자 없이 자율주행차를 운행하고 있었다.[61][62]
