람푸라는 인도 서부의 구자라트에 있는 촌락이자 전직 콜리가 통치한 왕족 국가다.[1]
주(州)로서 람푸라는 서인도국 소속이었다. 가토산에서는 타나(즉, 매우 작은 주)로 분류되었는데, 1857년 반란이 일어난 직후의 세월에는 편의로 보였지만, 1940년 6월에 바로다 주에 부속되었다. 역사학자 존 맥레오드는 "가장 초보적인 정부를 넘어서는 어떤 것도 유지하기 위해 자원을 낭비했다"고 말한다. 사실 그들은 너무 작아서 그들의 독립된 존재는 그야말로 터무니없었다.[2] 1945년, 주의 면적은 4.5 평방마일(12km2), 인구는 2304명, 수입은 11,000루피라고 기록되었다. 그것은 이전에 레와 칸타 에이전시의 일부분이었다.[3]
