Radio Sport (previously Sports Roundup) was a New Zealand sports radio network and the talkback sister network of Newstalk ZB. It held commentary rights for most cricket matches, international and domestic rugby union games, NRL rugby league games, trans-Tasman basketball and New Zealand tennis tournaments.

The network also updated developments at golfing events, bowls tournaments and other sporting events. At other times Radio Sport played talkback and hourly news and sports updates.

Radio Sport began as Sports Roundup, a Radio New Zealand programme during the 1980s and early 1990s that provided live commentary of summer sports like cricket. It was broadcast on several frequencies around the country on a time-share with the AM Network on frequencies historically used for The Concert Programme.

Sports Roundup was replaced with dedicated Radio Sport network through its privatisation of the sports commentary department in 1996.

The station was targeted at male sports fans from its outset. As Newstalk ZB's sister network, Radio Sport provided all sports news coverage for the Newstalk ZB news service carried by Newstalk ZB, Classic Hits FM, ZMFM, Radio Rhema, Radio Hauraki, Southern Star, Coast and Life FM since its inception. Unless the network was taking live commentary from a sporting event, Radio Sport simulcasted Newstalk ZB Monday-Thursday 19:00–20:00 and weekends 6:00–9:00 and 12:00–18:00.

라디오 스포츠는 또한 스포츠 기반의 뉴스 서비스를 제공했고, 사내에서 생산되고, 정기적으로 업데이트되었다.

얼리 조식

로웨나 던캠이 선보인 컨트리 '얼리 에디션'은 월요일-금요일 오전 5시부터 오전 6시까지 두네딘 스튜디오에서 방송되었으며, 12PM 쇼의 하이라이트와 라디오 스포츠 조찬팀에게 보내는 크로스를 선보였다.

아침식사

Radio Sport의 프로그래밍은 아침식사 프로그램에 의해 주도되었다. 2017년부터 아침식사 프로그램은 오전 6시부터 오전 9시까지 켄트존스, 네이선 레어, 마크 피어드와 함께한 라디오 스포츠 아침식사였다. 그 프로그램은 또한 30분마다 뉴스와 스포츠를 방영했다. 2008년 7월 17일까지 이 프로그램은 ONE News 스포츠 진행자 토니 비치가 발표했지만, 2006년 Veitch가 여자친구를 폭행했다는 주장이 제기되자 Vitch는 Radio Sport와 ONE News에서의 역할에서 사임했다. 비치는 2008년 7월 8일 기자회견에서 이러한 주장이 사실이라고 고백하고 7월 17일 사임했다. 그 빈 자리는 전 드라이브타임 진행자 D'Arcy Waldegrave가 채웠고, 전 뉴질랜드 크리켓 선수 Mark Richardson이 공동주최자로 있었다. 리처드슨은 2013년 말 앤드류 멀리건과 함께 크라우드 고즈 와일드 아침식사를 진행했다. 2015년에는 리처드슨이 그 해 중반에 쇼에서 퇴장할 것이라고 발표되었고, 전 뉴질랜드 크리켓 선수 사이먼 더울이 리차드슨 감독이 떠난 지 2주 후에 공동 진행자로 취임했다. 모닝스

Radio Sport Mornings는 Jason Pine & Sam Hewitt에 의해 진행되었다. 9-12로 앞선 2013년까지 베테랑 스포츠 방송인 브렌던 텔퍼가 그 자리를 채웠다. 2014년부터는 경험 많은 스포츠 방송인 마틴 데블린이 자매 방송인 라디오 하우라키에서 자리를 옮긴 후 그 자리를 이어받았다. 2018년 중반에 제이슨과 샘이 그 자리를 이어받았다. 이 쇼에는 정규 특파원, 인터뷰, 토크백 등이 출연했으며, 전적으로 TV 게임 쇼, 스포츠 경기 예측, 1950년대 BBC 스타일로 제시된 주말 스포츠에 대한 코믹하고 가벼운 시선도 담겨 있었다. 이 쇼의 일반적인 주제는 WWSD (샘이 무엇을 할 것인가)이었다.

Afternoons

The Country with Jamie MacKay presented from the Dunedin studios aired between 12pm-1pm. This show was broadcast on all Radio Sport stations except in Auckland.

The afternoon talkback programme between Midday and 4pm on the station was hosted by Daniel McHardy from the Wellington studios. Between 12–1 PM the show only aired on the Auckland station, due to all other stations airing the rural based programme The Country. After 1pm though, the show aired nationwide. The show primarily featured calls from its listeners and predicts the weekend's sports on Friday afternoons.

Drive Show

D'Arcy Waldegrave and Angus Mabey hosted the drive show between 4pm and 7pm weekdays which featured regular guests, interviews and sums up the days top sporting stories.

Sportstalk

Sportstalk with D'Arcy Waldegrave aired from Monday-Thursday nights 7pm-8pm (Simulcast from Newstalk ZB).

Evenings

Reloaded hosted by Eli Mwaijumba aired from 8pm until 10pm. Reloaded featured interviews, highlights, reaction and the best live sport. Until 2017 the previous night show 'The Night Train' was a Talkback-based show.

Overnights

Overnight, Radio Sport aired FOX Sports Radio from America, through a live internet feed or Talksport simulcast during the English Premier League season.

Weekends

Weekends were dominated by live commentaries, punctuated by shows with Veitch (until 2018) and Watson and other simulcast programming from Newstalk ZB.

구 라디오 스포츠 AM과 와이라파, 타우포 LPFM 주파수는 2020년 7월 1일 골드 AM으로[3][4] 리브랜딩되었다. 매치 코멘트는 골드 AM 프로그래밍의 일부로 계속된다. 다른 FM 주파수는 리브랜딩되었는데, 블렌하임은 라디오 하우라키, 웨스트포트, 그레이머스는 ZM으로 리브랜딩되었다.
