리오그란데(Rio Grande) 스페인어 발음:ˈ리오 ˈɣɾande)는 푸에르토리코 북부 해안 계곡의 동쪽 가장자리에 위치한 도시로, 라스피에드라스, 나가보, 세이바북쪽에 위치하며 로이자, 카노바나스의 동쪽과 루키요의 서쪽에 위치합니다. 리오그란데(Rio Grande)는 8개의 바리오와 리오그란데 푸에블로(Rio Grande Pueblo)에 걸쳐 있습니다. 산후안카과스과이나보 대도시 통계 지역의 일부입니다. 엘윈크의 봉우리를 포함하여 엘윈크 국유림의 상당 부분이 지방 자치 단체 내에 위치해 있습니다.

역사

리오그란데는 1840년 7월 16일 데시데리오와 퀼리마코 에스코바르가 미겔 로페스 주지사의 승인을 받아 설립했습니다. 리오그란데(Río Grande)의 이름을 따서 지어졌으며 리오그란데와 리오 에스피리투 산토가 합류하는 곳에 위치해 있습니다.

1894년에는 두 개의 사탕수수 하치엔다와 256개의 에스탕시아가 작은 과일을 재배했습니다.[3]

2017년 9월 20일, 허리케인 마리아는 리오그란데에 많은 산사태를 일으켰고 많은 양의 강우량을 기록했습니다.[4][5] 기반 시설이 파괴되고, 나무가 땅에서 뜯겨 나갔으며, 하천이 뚫려 약 5천 명이 재산상의 손실을 입었습니다. 푸에르토리코 아마존 중 230마리가 살아 남았습니다.[6]

지리학

리오그란데([7]Río Grande)는 시에라 데 루키요(Sierra de Luquillo)의 북쪽에 있는 섬의 북동쪽 해안에 위치합니다. 엘윈케 국립 숲의 상당 부분과 시에라 데 루키요의 가장 높은 곳 중 일부는 푸에르토리코 동부에서 가장 높은 3,474 피트 (1,070 미터)에 있는 엘윈케와 엘 토로를 포함한 리오 그란데 내에 위치해 있습니다.

푸에르토리코의 모든 지방 자치 단체들처럼 리오그란데도 시장에 의해 관리됩니다. 현재 시장은 앙헬 "보리" 곤살레스로, 2014년 9월 14일 특별 선거에서 당선되었습니다. 곤살레스는 2004년 총선에서 당선된 에두아르트 리베라 코레아를 대신할 예정입니다. 그러나 리베라 코레아는 연방정부의 혐의로 기소된 후 자리에서 물러났습니다.[32]

도시는 두 명의 상원의원이 대표로 있는 푸에르토리코 상원의원 선거구 VIII에 속해 있습니다. 2012년에 페드로 A. 로드리게스루이스 다니엘 리베라는 지역구 상원의원으로 선출되었습니다.[33]

리오그란데 국기는 같은 크기의 두 개의 가로 줄무늬로 구성되어 있으며, 위쪽은 녹색이고 아래쪽은 파란색이며, 돛대의 측면에 있는 흰색 삼각형으로 통일되어 있습니다. 하얀 삼각형 위에는 푸에르토리코 앵무새가 있습니다.[36]

은빛 벌판에 파란 줄무늬가 휘날리는 푸에르토리코 앵무새 두 마리(아마조나 비타타), 세 개의 봉우리가 있는 녹색 산. 방패의 윗부분은 파란색이며, 은색 책이 펼쳐졌고, 양쪽에는 5개의 금화가 함께 있습니다. 녹색 개구부가 있는 검은색으로 윤곽이 그려진 3개의 탑 금관이 위에 있습니다.[36]
