(Khmer: ពិណ)은 캄보디아 하프로, 캄보디아 음악에서 역사적으로 가장 중요한 악기 중 하나이다.이 악기는 1500년대에 멸종되었고, 현재 현대에 복원되고 있다.[1]그 역사적 중요성은 캄보디아 고전음악인 핀펫(Khmer: ពិណពា្្្)의 바로 그 이름으로 강조된다.핀이 더 이상 사용되지 않은 후, 캄보디아인들은 현 시대에 클래식 음악에 이 악기의 이름을 계속 사용했다.[2]핀을 더 이상 사용하지 않을 때, 다른 기구의 톤 범위가 확장되었는데, 아마도 보상하기 위해서일 것이다.[3]버마사웅거크로나트는 "앙코리아 조각에 묘사된 음악가 이후 두 배 이상 많은 수의 징을 가진 콩 폰 과 콩 토치에서 색도 척도와 징의 수를 위한 열쇠를 가지고 있었다"[3]고 말했다.

어원

산스크리트어 veena/vina에서 유래한 단어 핀( from derived derived word)이다.이 악기는 핀펫으로 알려진 캄보디아 전통 음악 앙상블에 이름을 붙였다.

역사

푸난 시대 이후 캄보디아에 유입되었을지 모르지만 캄보디아에서 가장 일찍 남아 있는 핀의 묘사는 7세기 첸라의 수도인 삼보르 먹잇감 국의 사원에 있는 것으로 추정된다.이 악기는 서기 7세기에서 13세기 사이의 크메르 사원의 힌두교 종교 예술에 등장했다.[4][5]이 악기는 서기 12~13세기에 건립된 불교 사찰인 캄보디아 바이온의 기초 구조물에 기록되어 있다.[4]서기 9세기부터 14세기까지 앙코르 시대에는 여전히 왕립 크메르 앙상블에서 연주되고 있었다.[4]

그 악기가 사라진 데는 여러 가지 설이 있다."한 가지 생각은 멜로디 타악기 오케스트라의 발달로 악기가 사라졌다는 것이다."[4]또 다른 이론은 이 악기가 앙코르 문명을 무너뜨린 전쟁 중에 1431년에 분실되었다는 것이다.[6]한 가지 더 이론은 힌두교와 연관되었고 국가가 불교가 되면서 그 악기는 남겨졌다는 것이다.[7]

아시아에서 20년 넘게 활동해온 민족학자 패트릭 커살레는 과거 남긴 이미지들을 '하프의 모양을 추적'하며 연구했다.[8]그는 그 하프가 어떻게 사용되고 만들어졌는지 이해할 수 있는 단서를 찾았다.[8]그는 또한 버마 사웅 거크와 카레니족의 하프와 같은 이 지역의 비슷한 악기들을 살펴보았다.[9]케르살레는 케오 소난 카베이(공예가)에게 하프를 만드는 것을 도와달라고 부탁했다.[8]이 악기가 다시 활동적인 문화의 일부가 될 수 있도록 돕기 위해 힘 소피는 이 악기를 위해 작곡을 시작했다.[8]
