오라스콤 건설 PLC(Orascom Construction PLC)는 이집트 카이로에 본사를 둔 엔지니어링, 조달 및 건설(EPC) 계약업체다. 이 회사는 이집트 최초의 다국적 기업이었으며 오라스콤 그룹의 핵심에 서 있다. 조직위원회는 25개국 이상에서 활동하고 있다.[3]

OC는 1950년 이집트에 설립되어 온시 사위리스가 소유하고 있다. 이집트 알제리 터키 파키스탄 이라크 북한 스페인 등에 시멘트 공장을 소유하고 운영했는데 연간 생산능력은 2100만t에 이른다.[4]

2007년 12월 OC는 시멘트 그룹 자산의 지주회사인 OBMH(Orascom Building Materials Holding)를 프랑스 라파지에 매각한다고 발표했다.[5]

2011년 7월, 오라스콤 건설은 사우디아라비아에서 4억 5천만 달러의 입찰가를 받았다.[6]

2012년 9월, 오라스콤 건설은 아이오와에 질소 비료 공장을 건설하고 위츠 회사를 인수함으로써 미국에 확장되었다.[7][8] 2013년 캐스케이드 인베스트먼트는 오라스콤 건설에 10억 달러를 투자했다.[9] 이 투자에 이어 네덜란드에 본사를 둔 OCI NV사가 탄생해 오라스콤건설의 모회사가 됐다.[10]

2015년 3월, 오라스콤 건설 주식은 두바이 금융 시장과 카이로 이집트 거래소에서 거래되기 시작했다.[11]

2018년 7월 오라스콤건설은 엥지와 손잡고 이집트에서 가장 큰 풍력발전소를 건설했다.[12] 2019년 5월 봄바디어, 오라스콤 건설, 아랍 컨센서스가 카이로에 모노레일 2개 노선을 건설하는 계약을 따냈다.[13]

제재

2013년 오라스콤 그룹은 2007년 라파르지에 대한 매각 비리에 이어 이집트 세무사에게 최대 10억 달러의 세금 추징금을 내기로 합의했다.[10]
