나일 레벨 텍스트

이집트 테베에 있는 카르낙 신전에 있는 컬트 테라스(일명 '쿼이'라 불리는)에는 나일 레벨 텍스트(또는 나일 퀘이 텍스트)가 새겨져 있다.이 컬트 테라스 자체는 라메스 2세 시대에 건설되었지만, 22~26대 왕조의 왕들은 나일강의 서쪽 높이를 기록하였다.이 비문은 특정 왕의 통치 기간 중 특정 연대로 거슬러 올라가기 때문에 귀중한 기록이다.

컬트 테라스에는 타하르카 집권 초기부터 가뭄의 시기였던 것으로 알려진 비문이 새겨져 있지 않다.

이 문서들은 1896년 조르주 르그랭에 의해 처음 조사되고 기록되었으며, 이후 1953년 위르겐 폰 베케라트에 의해 다시 기록되었다.많은 것들이 현재 침식으로 인해 손상되거나 유실된다.
