국가의료위원회(NMC)는 의료 교육과 의료 전문가를 규제하는 33명의 위원으로 구성된 인도 규제 기관입니다. 2020년 9월 25일 인도 의학평의회를 대체했습니다.[1][2] 위원회는 의료 자격을 인정하고, 의과대학에 인가를 부여하며, 의료인에게 등록을 부여하며, 의료 행위를 감시하고 인도의 의료 인프라를 평가합니다.

앞서 2019년 1월 조례로 6개월간 제정됐으며 이후 인도 의회에서 통과된 영구법이 됐고 이후 2019년 8월 8일 인도 대통령의 승인을 받았습니다.[3]

역사

NITI Aayog인도 의료 위원회(MCI)를 국가 의료 위원회(NMC)로 대체할 것을 권고했습니다. NMC 법안은 2019년 8월 8일 의회에서 통과되었고 대통령에 의해 승인되었습니다.[4][5][6]

국가의료위원회 조례는 인도 대통령이 2019년 1월 발표한 조례를 통해 2019년 초 인도 의료위원회를 대체하기 위해 도입되었습니다.

대법원은 2017년 7월부터 중앙 정부가 의료 위원회를 교체하고 5명의 전문 의사의 도움을 받아 인도의 의료 교육 시스템을 모니터링할 수 있도록 허용했습니다.[7]

2021년 NMC는 자국에서 의료행위를 할 수 있는 자격증을 취득하려는 외국인 의학 졸업생들을 위한 지침을 개정했습니다. 가이드라인은 특정 국가의 의료 자격 인정 확대, FMG의 외국인 의학 졸업자 심사(FMGE) 통과 요건 등 변경 및 업데이트 사항을 소개했습니다.

인도에서 의료 행위를 할 수 있는 자격을 인정받으려면 FMG가 공인된 의료 기관의 유효한 의료 자격을 보유하고 있어야 하며, 의료의 다양한 영역에서 FMG의 지식과 기술을 측정하는 필수 시험인 FMGE를 통과해야 합니다.

새로운 가이드라인에 따라 인도에서 의료 면허를 취득하기 위한 절차에는 NMC에 의료 자격을 인정받기 위한 신청, 인도 의료 위원회(MCI)에 등록하기, FMGE 수강 신청을 포함한 여러 단계가 포함됩니다. FMGE를 통과하자마자, FMG는 NMC와 함께 인도에서 의료 행위를 할 수 있는 면허를 신청할 수 있습니다.[13]

  • 의료 자문 위원회의 각 주/조합 지역의 지명자 중에서 순환적으로 임명된 10명의 위원.
  • 9명의 위원은 의료자문위원회의 주와 연합 영토의 지명자들 중에서 임명되었습니다.[16]

이 중 60% 이상이 의료인이어야 합니다.

논란

2023년 11월에 NMC 로고가 최근 변경되면서 특정 의학 동호회의 소셜 미디어에서 승인을 받지 못했습니다.[17]
