막키 디로티옥수수 식사(마이즈 밀가루)로 만든 납작한 무연탄 빵으로 주로 펀자브 지역,[1][2][4][5][6][7] 히마찰, 하랴나, 라자스탄, 구자라트, 우타르 프라데시, 우타라크한드, 잠무에서 먹는다.[3] 인도 아대륙의 대부분의 로티처럼 타바 에서 구워진다.[8]

문자 그대로, 막카우 롯테푼자비어로 '마이즈의 빵'을 의미하는데, 막카우라는 용어는 힌디어로 차용되어 막카우 k 롯테우(c.f. 힌디 막카이)를 형성한다. 막키롯테는 준비되었을 때 색이 노랗고 응집력이 훨씬 적어 다루기 어렵다.
