현재 가장 높은 곳은 태국 파타야에 있는 105m(344ft) 높이의 사원인 '진실의 성지'로 여러 개의 나무 마천루 설계가 설계되고 지어졌다.[1] 이전의 기록 보유자인 67미터 높이의 포공사탑은 900년 전에 지어졌다.

가장 높은 입석 목조 구조물은 글리위스 라디오 타워(118m 또는 387피트)이다. 역대 가장 높은 목조 건축물은 뮐라커 무선 송신기의 탑(190m 또는 620ft, 1945년 파괴)이었다.
