이는 2015년 현재 아메리카 대륙에서 가장 인구가 많은 50개 대도시 지역의 목록으로, 가장 최근에 아메리카 대륙의 모든 주요 대도시 지역에 대한 공식 인구 조사 결과, 추정치 또는 예측치를 이용할 수 있다. 가능한 경우, 다극성 교란과는 반대로, 단일 도시 중심부와 그 인접 환경의 개념에 근거한 대도시권의 공식 정의를 사용한다. 수치는 2015년 3월 15일을 기준으로 INEGI가 실시한 2015년 중간 인구 조사(Incensal Intersurvey)에서 도출한 멕시코 수도권의 경우를 제외하고 2015년 중반 인구를 가리킨다.[1]
