메릴랜드 하원 미국 메릴랜드 주 의회인 메릴랜드 총회의 하원입니다. 각 지역구에서 3명의 대의원을 선출하지만, 일부 지역구는 하위 지역구로 나뉩니다. 원래 주 헌법에서는 각 카운티에서 1년 임기로 4명의 대의원이 선출되었고, 볼티모어아나폴리스의 주요 초기 도시에서 각각 2명의 대의원이 선출되었습니다.[1] 그러나 1830년대의 개혁은 지리학이 아닌 인구에 의한 대의원 배분으로 이어졌고,[2] 1922년까지 대의원은 4년 임기를 수행했습니다.[3] 현대적인 의석 배분 체계는 1972년 대략 인구가 동일한 47개 구역이 확인되면서 시작되었지만, 하위 구역은 전체 구역을 보증하기에는 인구가 너무 적은 지역에 대한 지역 대표성을 보장하기 위해 만들어졌습니다.[2]
