List of Sites of Special Scientific Interest in West Sussex

웨스트 서섹스는 영국 남동부에 있으며 인구는 약 78만 명이다.[1]카운티 타운은 치체스터 입니다.그 카운티의 북쪽에는 웨알드의 무거운 가문들과 모래들이 있다.사우스 다운스의 분필은 동쪽에서 서쪽으로 중앙을 가로지르고 남쪽에는 영국 해협까지 해안 평야가 이어진다.[2]

영국에서는 영국의 자연환경 보호를 담당하는 Natural England특수과학적 관심장소(SSI)를 지정한다.가장 중요한 야생동물과 지질학적 유적지는 법적 보호를 위해 SSSI로 지정된다.[3]

2019년 7월 현재 웨스트서섹스에는 77개의 SSSI가 있으며,[4] 이 중 53개는 생물학적, 18개는 지질학적, 6개는 생물학적, 6개는 지질학적이다.24개소는 지질보전심의관, 15개소는 자연보전심의관, 10개소는 자연보전심의관, 10개소는 자연보전특구, 6개소는 국제적으로 중요한 람사르습지유적지, 5개소는 국가자연보전지역, 2개소는 자연보전지역, 7개소는 지역자연보전지역, 6개소는 예정기념물, 10개소는 관리지역이다.sussex Wildlife Trust에 의해 그리고 부분적으로 Surrey에 있는 하나는 Surrey Wildlife Trust에 의해 관리된다.
