역사

라이온브릿지는 1996년에 설립되었다.[1] 2005년 당시 최대 현지화 업체였던 보운 글로벌솔루션을 인수했다.[2] 2014년 코스타리카에 본사를 둔 디지털 마케팅 서비스 업체인 다윈존과 [3]콘텐츠 커넥티비티 소프트웨어 업체인 클레이 태블릿 테크놀로지스를 인수했다.[4]

2015년에는 취리히 소재 번역 서비스 업체인 CLS커뮤니케이션과 법률 번역 업체인 지오텍스트를 인수했다.[5][6][7][8] 2016년 12월 라이온브릿지는 H.I.G 캐피털이 인수하기로 최종 합의했다고 발표했다. 이 거래는 2017년[9] 5월에 마감되었다고 발표되었고, 그 후 나스닥에서 상장폐지되었다. 라이온브릿지는 현재 개인 소유의 회사로서 H.I.G. 회사들의 포트폴리오의 일부분이다.

논란/법원 사건

이 회사가 관련된 증권 집단 소송은 2001년 7월 "Samet v. Lionbridge Technologies, Inc. et al."에 따라 뉴욕 남부 지방 법원에 제기되었다.[14]

2006년, Lionbridge의 한 직원은 회사가 그린카드를 획득할 수 있도록 도와야 할 의무를 이행하지 않아 $366,250의 비경제적 손해와 $221,433의 경제적 손해를 받았다.[15]
