인도 독성연구소(IITR) (이전 산업 독성연구센터)는 과학산업연구회의 보호 아래 운영되는 실험실이다. 이 연구소는 시브테 하산 자이디가 1965년 설립했으며, 게루 위성캠퍼스와 함께 럭나우 시에 메인캠퍼스를 두고 있다.

2019년 엘리자베스 비크와 다른 독립 연구자들의 조사(PubPeer를 통해 문서화됨)에서 사진 조작 사례가 있는 연구소의 수많은 출판물을 발견했다.[2][3][4][5] CSIR은 조사를 지시했다.[6]
