히데라바드의 지역이나 동네는 400여 년 전 콰트브 샤히 왕조 시대부터 독특한 구전 역사를 가지고 있으며, 다양한 사람과 사물의 이름을 따서 붙여졌다.[1][2] 어떤 것들은 그 지역의 주요 건물이나 구조물에서 따온 이름이고, 다른 것들은 개인들을 위해 명명되었다. 이름은 주로 시의 주요 언어인 텔루구우르두어로 되어 있다.[3] 이것은 하이데라바드의 지역, 동네, 거리, 그리고 그들의 어원의 목록이다.
