드라마 시리즈 주간 에미상 우수 조연상은 국립 텔레비전 예술 과학 아카데미(NATAS)와 텔레비전 예술 과학 아카데미(ATAS)가 매년 수여하는 상이다.주간 드라마 업계에서 활동하면서 조연으로 뛰어난 연기를 보여준 배우를 기리기 위해 주는 것이다.
1979년 열린 제6회 주간 에미상 시상식에서 피터 한센은 종합병원에서 리 볼드윈을 연기한 공로로 이 상의 첫 번째 수상자가 되었다.[1][2]이 시상식은 투표 청렴으로 비판을 받아온 1983년과 1984년에 텔레비전으로 중계되지 않았다.[3][4]1985년 새로운 카테고리인 드라마 시리즈에서 뛰어난 젊은 배우를 도입한 후, 이 카테고리의 기준이 변경되어 모든 배우들은 26세 이상이 되어야 한다.[5]
이 상은 창간 이래 33명의 배우에게 주어졌다.종합병원은 총 11승으로 가장 많은 상을 받은 배우들이 출연하는 프로그램이다.1983년 다넬 윌리엄스는 아프리카계 미국인으로서는 처음으로 이 상을 수상했으며, 제시 허버드 역은 올 마이 칠드런으로 수상하였다.1994년 이후 저스틴 데스는 As the World Turns, Santa Barbara, Guiding Light에 대한 작품으로 총 4개의 상으로 최다 수상 기록을 보유하고 있다.제리 버 도른은 각각 7명으로 2005년 이후 가장 많은 후보에 오른 디아스와 동률을 이뤘다.2009년에는 제프 브랜슨과 빈센트 이리재리가 공동 수상해 이 부문 첫 동점이었다.
