다프네는 몬트리올 시에 위치한 토착 예술가가 운영하는 중심지로 현대 제1국가와 메티스, 이누이트 미술에 전념하고 있다.[1]

역사

토착 예술가 나디아 마이어, 스카웨나티, 한나 클로스, 캐롤라인 모넷이 2020년에 센터를 설립했다.[2]오다와-포타와토미 예술가 다프네 오드지를 기리기 위해 이름 붙여졌으며,[1] 퀘벡 주에서 최초로 원주민 예술가가 운영하는 중심지다.[3]

2020년 가을, 로리 베비스는 다프네의 초대 이사로 채용되었다.그녀는 다프네의 사명을 원주민 예술가들의 작품을 중심으로 하는 집결지라고 묘사한다.[4]
