차마르
Chamar차마르(Chamar)는 인도의 현대적 차별 철폐 조치 제도 하에서 스케줄링된 카스트로 분류된 달릿 공동체다. 역사적으로 만질 수 없는 대상이었던 그들은 전통적으로 바르나라고 알려진 카스트의 힌두교의 의식 순위 체계 밖에 있었다. 그들은 인도 아대륙 전역, 주로 인도 북부 주와 파키스탄과 네팔에서 발견된다.
람나라얀 라왓은 전통적인 태닝 점령의 차마르 공동체의 연합이 건설되었고, 차마르족은 대신 역사적으로 농경주의자였다고 주장한다.[1]
차마르라는 용어는 일반적으로 달릿을 경멸하는 말로 쓰인다.[2][3] 인도 대법원에서 카스트주의자의 비방과 1989년 예정 카스트 및 예정 부족(만행 방지법) 위반으로 사람을 다루기 위한 용어 사용으로 묘사되어 왔다.[4]
뒤시아
뒤시아(Dhusia)는 인도의 카스트(caste)로, 때로는 차마르스(Chamars), 게티야(Gheyyya), 쥐시아(Jhusia) 또는 자타브(Jatav)와 관련되기도 한다.[5][6] 그것들은 우타르 프라데시 [7]등지에서 발견된다.
펀자브와 하리아나에 있는 뒤시아의 대부분은 인도의 분할 이후 파키스탄에서 이주했다. 펀자브에서는 주로 루디아나, 패티알라, 암리차르, 잘란다르 시에서 발견된다. 그들은 B. R. 암베드카르로부터 영감을 받아 라오와[8] 자타브라는 성을 채택한다.
직업
직조업을 택하고 태닝과 가죽공예를 포기한 차마르들은 자신을 훌라하 차마르라고 부른다. R. K. Pruthi는 이것이 미래에 그들이 다른 지역사회에서 훌라하로 여겨질 수 있기를 바라고 있다고 제안한다. 그들은 가죽을 짜는 것과 비교할 때, 가죽을 짜는 것은 "떨어지는" 것이라고 믿는다.[9]
차마르 연대
제1차 참마르 연대는 제2차 세계대전 당시 영국군이 결성한 보병 연대였다. 공식적으로는 1943년 3월 1일 제27대대 제2 펀자브 연대로 창설되었다. 제1대대로 전환되었고, 이후 제2차 세계대전이 끝난 직후 해체되었다.[10] 1년 근속한 연대는 3개의 군십자와 3개의 군장을[11] 받았다. 연대는 코히마 전투에서 싸웠다.[12] 2011년 몇몇 정치인들이 부활을 요구했다.[13]
인구통계학
2001년 인도 인구조사에 따르면 차마르족은 우타르프라데시[14] 주 인구의 약 14%, 펀자브 주 인구의 12%를 차지한다.[15]

2011년 인도 우타르프라데시 인구 조사에서는 차마르, 뒤시아, 후시아, 자타바 예정 카스트 공동체를 통합하여 2249만6047명의 인구를 반환했다.[37]
