블록버스터(The Last Blockbuster)는 오리건 주 벤드에 있는 비디오 대여점이다.2022년 현재 블록버스터 브랜드를 사용한 세계 마지막 남은 소매점이다.[2][3][4]
역사
오레곤 주 벤드의 블록버스터는 1992년 켄과 데비 티셔가 오레곤의 작은 비디오 대여점 체인인 퍼시픽 비디오의 두 번째 장소로 오픈했다.[5]2000년에 티셔는 그것을 블록버스터 프랜차이즈 매장으로 개조했다.[6]샌디 하딩은 2004년부터 총지배인을 맡고 있다.[7]
블록버스터 LLC는 2014년 초까지 기업 소유의 모든 점포를 폐쇄하여 벤드 위치는 남은 50개의 프랜차이즈 점포 중 하나로 남게 되었다.[8]2018년 7월에는 미국에서 마지막으로 남은 블록버스터가 되었고, 2019년 3월에는 세계 마지막 블록버스터가 되었다.[9]블록버스터 상표의 소유주인 디시 네트워크는 더 이상 블록버스터라는 이름을 가진 새로운 프랜차이즈를 부여하지 않으며, 이는 마지막 블록버스터로서의 벤드 스토어의 위상을 공고히 했다.[10]

이 가게에는 배우 러셀 크로우의 후드, 신데렐라맨의 가운과 반바지, 레미제라블의 조끼, 아메리칸 갱스터의 감독 의자 등 기존에 배우 러셀 크로우의 것이었던 여러 편의 영화 기념품들이 전시되어 있다.이 작품들은 2018년 7월 앵커리지에서 폐업한 이후 마지막으로 운영된 알래스카 블록버스터에서 나온 것이다.이 물건들은 원래 존 올리버와 함께 2018년 4월 '라스트 위크 투나잇(Last Week Tonight)' 코너를 위해 알래스카 매장에 기증됐다.[22]
