Baswanath Choudhury는 Balurghat College를 졸업했으며 1977년에 MLA가 처음 되었다.[1][2] 그 후 1982년,[3] 1987년,[4] 1991년,[5] 1996년,[6] 2001년[7], 2006년에 MLA로 계속 활동하였다.[8] 2011년 선거에서 그는 전 인도 트리나물 의회의 산카르 차크라보티에게 패배했다.[9]
