(릭 가슨, 폴 플래티 & 짐 유키치가 만든) 설립 이후, BMAs는 폭스 네트워크에서 방송되었습니다. 그러나 계약 만료 및 기타 예상치 못한 상황으로 인해 2007년에 시상이 취소되었습니다. 2008년 (AEG Live와 연계하여) 새로운 버전의 시상식에 대한 계획은 무산되었고, 2011년까지 BMA가 개최되지 않았습니다.
