2018년 미네소타 주 미국 상원의원 특별선거는 2021년 1월 3일 임기 만료 때까지 현직 민주당 상원의원 알 프랑켄의 후임으로 미네소타 주 출신의 미국 상원의원을 선출하기 위해 2018년 11월 6일에 실시되었다.여러 건의 성 비위 혐의를 받고 있는 프랭켄은 2017년 12월 7일 2018년 1월 2일자로 사임하겠다고 발표했다.마크 데이턴 주지사는 2017년 12월 13일 프랭켄의 후임인 티나 스미스를 임명했고, 그녀는 특별 선거에 출마했다.이번 선거는 상원 1급 의석을 위한 미국 상원의원 선거, 미국 하원의원 선거, 도지사 선거, 주 하원의원 선거, 그리고 다른 선거들과 겹쳤다.
후보 접수 마감일은 2018년 6월 5일이었고, 2018년 8월 14일 경선이 치러졌다.[1]스미스는 민주당 경선에서 승리했고 총선에서 공화당 후보인 카린 하우슬리를 물리쳤다.
