2010년 캔터베리 지진(다필드 [7]지진이라고도 함)은 뉴질랜드 남섬에서 규모 7.1의[1][2] 지진이 발생했다.현지시간으로 9월 4일 오전 4시 35분메르칼리 강도 [1]척도에서 최대 감지 강도 X(극한)를 보였다.주요 사건 이후 일부 피해 여진이 발생했으며, 그 중 가장 강한 지진은 약 6개월 후인 2011년 [8]2월 22일에 발생한 크라이스트처치 지진이었다.이 여진은 크라이스트처치에서 매우 가까운 곳에서 발생했기 때문에 훨씬 더 파괴적이었고 185명의 [9]사망자를 낳았다.

9월 4일 지진은 광범위한 피해와 몇 번의 정전을 야기했으며,[6][10] 특히 당시 뉴질랜드 제2의 도시인 크라이스트처치 시에서 발생했다.주민 2명은 무너진 굴뚝에 부딪혀 중상을 입었고 나머지 1명은 [6][11]유리에 부딪혀 중상을 입었다.한 명은 지진 [12]때 겪은 심장마비로 사망했다.또 다른 사람이 지진 [13]중에 넘어져서 죽었다.대부분의 사람들이 거리를 [14][15]떠난 이른 아침 시간에 발생한 지진의 도움을 받았음에도 불구하고, 부분적으로 강제되지 않은 건축물의 집들이 적었기 때문에 대량 사망을 피할 수 있었다.

배경

진원지 부근의 지진 위험

크라이스트처치에 유럽인들이 정착한 첫 80년(1850-1930년) 동안, 네 번의 지진이 상당한 피해를 입혔고,[24] 그 중 마지막 지진은 1922년 북 캔터베리 해안의 모투나우에서 발생했다.

GNS 지진학자들과 지구물리학자들은 7.1Mw 지진이 서너 개의 개별적인 지진들로 이루어졌다고 믿었고,[29] 재빨리 지진에 대한 최소 두 개의 모델을 제안했다.존 비반은 채링크로스 단층 6.5Mw 지진에 이어 그린데일 단층 7.0Mw 지진, 호로라타 인근 6.2Mw 지진 등으로 구성된 4단층 모델을 제안했으며, 4단층에서는 6.5Mw 지진이 발생했으며 웨스트멜튼, 샌디 놀햄,[29] 번햄을 오갈 수 있었다.Caroline Holden은 Charing Cross 단층에서 2-4초의 6.3Mw 지진과 그렌데일 단층에서 7-18초 지속된 6.9Mw 지진, 그리고 Horata 부근에서 15-18초의 약 6.5Mw 지진 등으로 구성된 3단층 모델을 제안했다.결국 이 사건은 7단층까지 [27]포함하는 매우 복잡한 지진이었던 것으로 보인다.

2012년 8월 7일 규모 5.0 이상의 26개, [30]규모 6.0 이상의 2개 등 규모 2 이상여진이 발생했다.크라이스트처치 중심업무지구 건물에 더 큰 피해를 입혔고, [31][32][33][34]더니딘에서 남쪽으로 300km 떨어진 건물도 있었다.

주목할 만한 여진은 연대순으로 다음과 같습니다.

  • 2010년 9월 8일 크라이스트처치 [35]도심에서 불과 7km 떨어진 곳에서 규모 5.1의 여진이 발생했다.
  • 2010년 10월 19일 리히터 규모 5.0의 깊이 9km의 여진이 표면 흔들림을 일으켰으며, 당시 지진 발생 이후 최악의 지진이었다고 보고되었다.

  • 2011년 1월 20일 오전 6시 3분 깊이 10km(6.2mi)의 리히터 규모 5.1의 여진이 발생해 많은 주민이 잠을 깼다.이 충격은 약간의 작은 피해를 입혔고 멀리 서해안오마루까지 [40]느껴졌다.

  • 2011년 12월 23일 오후 1시 58분 5.8, 오후 [47][48][49]3시 18분 6.0 등 또 다른 강력한 충격이 있었다.지진으로 인해 전력과 [50]수도 공급이 중단되었고, 세 채의 비어있는 건물이 무너졌고 동부 교외에서 액상화 현상이 다시 일어났으며, 언덕 [51][52]지역에서는 암벽이 무너졌다.지진으로 [13]인해 울퉁불퉁한 지면에 걸려 넘어진 사람이 한 명 있었다.

지질 기술 보고서

지진 위원회는 두 개의 지질학적 토지 피해 평가 복구 보고서를 발행했습니다.[53] 번째 1단계 보고서는 2010년 10월 21일에 발행되었다.이 보고서는 지진의 메커니즘, 기초 지질학, 주거용 토지 피해 사정, 재건 고려사항, 토지 및 건물 복구 및 교정 옵션을 간략하게 설명한다.

2단계[54] 보고서는 2010년 12월 1일에 발행되었다.지진 피해 지역을 3개의 구역으로 나누어, 이러한 지역의 복구 계획을 정리하고 있습니다.

사상자, 피해 및 기타 영향

피해의 대부분은 인구 38만6000명의 뉴질랜드 제2의 도시 크라이스트처치시를 포함한 진원지 주변 지역에서 발생했다.지진 진앙지에서 [55]약 300-350km(190-220mi) 떨어진 더네딘과 넬슨까지 경미한 피해가 보고되었다.
