여파
지진의 완전한 파괴는 터키가 지진 건축 규제를 채택하게 만들었다.[16] 에르진칸 시의 피해가 너무 광범위해서 그 옛 터는 완전히 버려졌고 조금 더 북쪽에 새로운 정착지가 세워졌다.
